Rates
To make the checkout process work smoothly and avoid any issues, we recommend creating and using rates through DingDoong instead of Shopify.
All rates will be managed in DingDoong, including creating, editing, and deleting.
How to setup:
Step 1: Navigate to Rates > Enable rates by DingDoong. The term agreement must be accepted to activate the feature.
Step 2: Click Add rate on the method you want to set up.
Pickup in store
- Default pickup rate: create rates for all pickup locations
- Location-based pickup rate: create different rates for each location
Local delivery
- Default delivery rate: create rates for all delivery locations
- Different rates for different ZIP/Postal codes: create rates for different delivery zones
- Use local delivery rates by Shopify (default): create rates in Shipping and delivery in Shopify admin
Shipping
- Rates by DingDoong: create rates for the shipping method
- Use shipping rates by Shopify (default): create rates in Shipping and delivery in Shopify admin
Attention:
- When creating rates through DingDoong, the system also creates corresponding rates in Shopify, with [_XYZ] added at the end of the rate name. Please do not delete the [_XYZ] as it is required for the feature to work correctly.
- If you create rates in Shopify and select the Use rates by Shopify option, please click Sync rate from Shopify to sync the created rates.
- If you delete rates created by DingDoong in the Shopify admin, please make sure to delete them in DingDoong as well.
