Sell your products on ChatGPT with an OpenAI feed
Omega Feed builds a product file in the format OpenAI expects, so your Shopify products can show up in ChatGPT search results and ChatGPT Ads. You create the feed in Omega, then paste its URL into your OpenAI merchant account, and OpenAI fetches the file on its own schedule.
This article covers:
- Get access on OpenAI.
- Create the OpenAI (ChatGPT) feed in Omega.
- Connect the feed URL in OpenAI.

Get access on OpenAI
You can create the feed in Omega while you wait for approval. The URL stays the same, so you only need to paste it once you are approved.
Create the OpenAI (ChatGPT) feed
- In the left menu, open Other channels and select the OpenAI (ChatGPT) tab.
- Click Create new feed.
- In Choose how to sync your product feed, pick Export a data file (CSV). The API option shows Coming soon.
- Set up Feed details, Target market, Product source and Schedule auto-sync the same way as any other feed.
- Click Next to open Review & Test, check a few products, then click Save.

Connect the feed URL in OpenAI
- When the file is ready, the Feed URL column on the OpenAI (ChatGPT) tab shows a link. Click Copy URL. Until the file is ready, the column reads Generating feed URL....
- In your OpenAI merchant account, open Hosted URL and paste the URL.
- Leave the username and password fields empty. Omega's feed URL doesn't need a login.
- Choose an import schedule. For the most up-to-date prices and stock, make OpenAI fetch the file at least as often as your feed's Schedule auto-sync.

Troubleshooting
I can't choose Direct channel connection for OpenAI
OpenAI only accepts a feed file today, so the API option shows Coming soon. Use Export a data file (CSV).
OpenAI rejected some of my products
Check OpenAI's error report for the column name, then fix it in Omega. Most errors come from empty required columns such as brand (Shopify vendor) or image url (product image). Fill the missing data in Shopify, or set a value in Product attributes mapping, then wait for the next sync or OpenAI's next fetch.
My products have no product category
Omega reads the category you set on each product in Shopify. If a product has none, Omega uses the Google category under Default product attributes in the feed settings. Set it so every product has a category.
Clicking OpenAI (ChatGPT) takes me to the Pricing page
You have reached your plan's channel or feed limit. See Multi-channel selling feeds with one dashboard for the limits on each plan.
