😭 My campaign hasn't reported any sales. What's wrong?

Take a breath, "no sales reported" almost always comes down to one of a few things, and most are quick to check. It usually falls into one of three buckets:

  1. It's a timing thing - the sale happened but hasn't shown up yet.
  2. It's a tracking thing - sales are happening, but the events aren't reaching TikTok.
  3. It's a real funnel thing - shoppers are arriving but not buying yet.

Work through the checks below in order, top ones are the most common and fastest to rule out.

1. Give it a little time (attribution & processing delay)

  • Sales don't always appear the instant they happen. There's normal processing delay between a purchase, the event reaching TikTok, and it showing in reports.
  • TikTok also attributes conversions on its own window, so a sale can show in Shopify before it shows in TikTok Ads Manager.
  • Check: if the campaign is only a few hours old (or you just launched), wait and re-check later in the day before assuming something is broken.

2. Confirm your pixel is active and firing

If nothing is being tracked, nothing can be reported.

  • Open Verify pixel β†’ Live Event Testing and complete a test action (view a product, add to cart, checkout).
  • Confirm the events show up in real time.
  • Also check you have at least one active pixel - reports only show data when a pixel is active.

πŸ‘‰ If events don't appear in Live Event Testing, that's your issue - fix the pixel setup first.

3. Check whether purchases are being recorded at all

  • Open Conversion Analytics β†’ User behavior and look at the Purchase count and Revenue for your date range.
  • Cross-check with the Purchase Report - each purchase has a clickable Order ID that opens the order in Shopify.
  • Compare against your actual Shopify orders for the same period.

What it means:

  • Purchases in Shopify but not in the app/report β†’ a tracking gap (go to step 4).
  • No purchases anywhere β†’ likely a funnel problem (go to step 5).

4. Rule out a tracking gap (not a sales gap)

Sales are happening but under-reported to TikTok. Common causes:

  • Browser pixel blocked (iOS 14.5+ / ITP). Server-side Events API recovers many of these β€” make sure it's set up.
  • Consent denied. If a shopper declines tracking, their events aren't sent. Open Consent Analytics to see how many visitors granted vs. denied consent β€” a low consent rate explains part of the gap.
  • These are coverage gaps, not lost orders. Don't mistake them for a broken pixel.

5. Check if it's actually a funnel problem

If shoppers arrive but genuinely aren't buying:

  • Open the Conversion funnel and find the biggest drop-off step (View content β†’ Add to cart β†’ Initiate checkout β†’ Purchase).
  • A steep drop at Initiate checkout β†’ Purchase is a signal to check your checkout experience and payment options.
  • A steep drop at View content β†’ Add to cart is a signal your traffic or product page may need a look.
  • Use the Segment heatmap to see if the drop is concentrated in one device, country, or browser.

These point you to a signal to investigate - not a confirmed cause. Verify before you change budget.

Act on the drop with a Shopify Flow template. Once you've spotted where shoppers fall off, you don't have to build an automation from scratch - the app ships ready-made Shopify Flow templates you can turn on in a couple of clicks:

For example:

  • Big drop at Initiate checkout β†’ Purchase / abandoned carts? β†’ enable the abandoned checkout recovery flow to automatically follow up with those shoppers.
  • Want to react to high-intent behavior? β†’ use a flow template to tag or notify on repeat Add to cart without purchase.

πŸ‘‰ Open Shopify Flow templates, pick the template that matches your drop-off, and activate it - a quick way to start winning back the shoppers you're losing at that step. Read more here: https://help.omegatheme.com/en/article/omega-tiktok-pixel-shopify-flow-integrations-wkwqo3/

6. Rule out the common report gotchas

  • Date range - make sure you're looking at the period the campaign actually ran.
  • Time zone - events are recorded in the time zone set in Event Setting; a mismatch can make a day look empty.
  • Data retention by plan - Starter: 60 days Β· Growth: 90 days Β· Scale: 6 months. Older data won't appear on lower plans.
  • Currency - if revenue looks off, check whether you're viewing "Store default currency" (converted) or a single currency.
  • Numbers won't match exactly across tools. The app, Shopify, and TikTok Ads Manager each count and attribute differently - small differences are normal.

Still stuck?

If you've confirmed the pixel fires in Live Event Testing, purchases appear in Shopify, and Events API + consent look fine - but the report still shows nothing, reach out to support with:

  • The pixel ID(s) involved
  • The date range you're checking
  • A screenshot of Live Event Testing and the Purchase Report

We'll help you track it down.
