Location limits by plan

Location limits by plan

How many locations you can add depends on your DingDoong plan. This explains the limit and how to add more capacity.

For full plan details and pricing, see DingDoong plans, billing & upgrades (Plans, Billing & Upgrades).

Overview

Each plan allows a certain number of locations. When you reach that number, the Add location and Import locations buttons are disabled and DingDoong shows a notice. To add more, upgrade your plan or remove a location you no longer use.

Hitting the limit never affects your existing locations or orders — it only stops you adding new ones.

Before you start

  • You're on the Locations page and have seen the limit notice, or you're planning a multi-store rollout.

What happens at the limit

  • Add location and Import locations become disabled.
  • A banner appears: on non-Enterprise plans it links to upgrade; on Enterprise it shows the max-reached notice.

How to add more locations

Here's how, step by step:

Step 1: Check your current usage

On Fulfillment schedule → Locations, compare how many locations you have against your plan.

Step 1: Check current usage

Step 2: Upgrade your plan (to add capacity)

Click the upgrade link in the notice (or go to Pricing) and choose a plan with a higher location allowance. See DingDoong plans, billing & upgrades.

Step 2: Upgrade your plan

Step 3: Or remove an unused location

If you'd rather not upgrade, delete a location you no longer use to free a slot — see Manage your locations.

Step 3: Remove an unused location

Common scenarios

Growing from one store to several

Upgrade when you outgrow your current allowance; your existing setup carries over.

Seasonal locations

Add and remove pop-up locations within your allowance instead of upgrading.

Tips & Best practices

Plan a rollout? Check your plan's location allowance before a bulk import — import is blocked once you hit the cap.

Remove stale or test locations periodically to keep within your allowance without upgrading.

Troubleshooting

I upgraded but still can't add locations?

Reload the app so the new plan registers. If it persists after the charge was approved, contact support.

The notice keeps appearing?

You're still at the limit — upgrade or remove a location to clear it.

FAQ

Do my locations disappear if I downgrade?

Locations aren't deleted on downgrade, but you won't be able to add new ones beyond the lower plan's limit. Check your data before downgrading.

How do I see my exact limit?

The Locations page and the Pricing page show your plan's allowance.
