Manage limits with Shopify Sidekick
Ask Shopify's Sidekick assistant, in plain language, to look up, set up, and adjust your Pareto Order Limit rules without leaving what you are doing.
How it works
Sidekick is Shopify's AI assistant in your admin. With this integration, Sidekick understands your Pareto Order Limit rules and settings, so you can ask questions and make changes by chatting instead of navigating through the app. Looking things up is read-only, and any change is shown to you first: nothing is saved without your confirmation.

What you can do
Look up rules
Ask Sidekick things like "what limits apply to this product?" and it lists every rule that affects it across all levels (product, variant, collection, group, and all-products), and flags overlaps or conflicts. You can also:
- Filter rules by limit type (quantity, amount, weight, product, purchase, discount), scope, customer type (DTC or B2B), purchase timeframe, and status.
- View the full details of a single rule.

Get template recommendations
Describe your goal in a sentence and Sidekick suggests one to three matching limit templates, based on your goal, your store profile, and gaps in your current rules. It can also explain what a template does, what rule it will create, and whether it needs a paid plan or B2B.

Create and manage rules
Sidekick can act on your rules, always with your confirmation:
- Apply a template or create a rule from your description; Sidekick opens a pre-filled form for you to review and save.
- Edit an existing rule.
- Turn a rule on or pause it.
- Duplicate a rule.
- Delete a rule (with a Yes/No confirmation).

Change app settings
Sidekick can adjust store-wide settings for you, again with confirmation:
- Enforcement: where limits are checked (product, cart, or collection page), the cart validation mode (block or auto-adjust), and whether checkout is blocked.
- Notification channels: connect, disconnect, or update Slack, Discord, Email, and Telegram.
