Follow these steps to configure volume discounts effectively in your store.

Follow these steps to configure volume discounts effectively in your store

I. Rule settings

Customize discount tiers, quantities, and values to create tailored offers for your customers.

  1. Select Product For The Discount

Determine which products will have the discount applied. You can choose from the following options:

  • Specific product variants: For each selected product variant, if the purchased quantity meets the rules, your customer will receive a discount.

  • Specific products: For each selected product, if the total purchase quantity (sum of all variants quantities of product) meets the rules, your customer will receive a discount.
  • Note: the campaign only applies to those product variants, excluding those product variants that already have specific rules.

  • Specific collections: For each selected collection, if total purchase quantity (sum of all products quantities of collection) meets the rules, your customer will receive a discount.
  • Note: the campaign only applies to those products that belong to the collection, excluding those products that already have specific rules.

  • Group products: Set the conditions that products must meet to qualify for the discount. You can target products based on Vendor, Tag, Tier, Price, Title, Type, SKU, Variant title
  • Note: the campaign only applies to those products that belong to the group, excluding those products that already have specific rules.

  • All products: If total purchase quantity of all products in order meets the rules, your customer will receive a discount.
  • Note: the campaign only applies to all products, excluding those products that already have specific rules.

Note: The system will prioritize checking offer rules of product variant => product => collection => all products

  1. Set Up Discount Rules

Each tier is one rule in your campaign. Create as many tiers as you need, then set the quantity that triggers the tier and the discount customers get.

In the Condition tab, enter the Buy from (items) value. This is the minimum quantity a customer needs in cart before the tier kicks in.

For example, set Buy from to 18 and any customer who adds 18 or more items will hit Tier 3.

Need a buy-to limit (e.g. "between 10 and 20 items")? Reach out via live chat and the team can set it up for you.

Use + Add tier to stack more rules, or 🗑 Remove Tier to delete one you no longer need.

In Discount per item, enter the discount value, then open the dropdown to pick a discount type:

Type

What it does

Example

%

A percentage off each item

15% off each item

Amount off each

A fixed amount off each item

$5 off each item

Fixed price

Each item is sold at a set price

Each item costs $20

Default

Inherits the discount type set at the campaign level

Falls back to the campaign default

Tip: Use % when you want the discount to scale with price (good for stores with varied price points). Use Fixed price when you want every customer to see the same final per-item price, regardless of original price.

Optional rule settings

  • Different discount for subscriptions. Turn this on if you want subscription buyers to get a different discount value than one-time buyers for this tier.
  • Discount for quantities in multiples of buy from. Turn this on to apply the discount only in multiples. For example, with Buy from set to 3, the discount triggers at 3, 6, 9, 12, but not at 4 or 5. Heads-up: this removes all other tiers and keeps only this rule.

  • Add or Remove Quantity Ranges:
    • Use the Add button to create new quantity ranges
    • Click the Remove icon to delete a range if needed

  1. Define Quantity Conditions

Set how the discount condition will be calculated

  • Total Quantity of All Selected Products: Use the total quantity of all selected products as the comparison condition for applying the discount
  • Total Quantity of Each Selected Product: Use the total quantity of each selected product as the comparison condition for applying the discount
  • Total Quantity of Each Product Variant: Use the quantity of each product variant as the comparison condition for applying the discount.
  1. Exclusions

Select products to which you don't want this discount rule to apply.

  1. Target customer
