Manage the languages used by the Shipping Protection widget on your storefront. Open: Apps > Blockify: Shipping Protection > Translation.

Default language

The base language used to create and edit rules. Displays the current language name (e.g., "English (United States)").

  • Change default — opens a modal to change the default language. Pick a language from the dropdown, click Save.

Manage language version

The list of languages added for the widget.

  • Add language (top right) — opens a modal to pick a new language, then opens the editor to translate content.

Added languages table:

  • Language — language name.
  • StatusActive / Inactive badge. Active → shown on the storefront; Inactive → falls back to the default language.

Each row has an Edit action (opens the content translation modal) and Delete.

Add language modal

  • Select language — autocomplete to pick a language from the list (excludes already-added languages and the default).
  • Recommended based on store settings — tags suggesting languages already enabled in Shopify Markets. Click a tag to add it quickly.
  • Click Add → opens the content editor.

Content translation editor

Shows the fields that need translation for the cart widget and checkout widget:

  • Cart content — depends on the layout you chose in the Widget editor:
    • Standard widget: Widget title, Business text, Link text.
    • Checkout button widget: Label title, Description, Protection button text, Standard checkout button text.
  • Checkout content — Widget title, Business text, Link text.

Each field has a text input for the translation, with an auto-translate button if your plan supports it. Click Save to save.

Language detection method

How the app detects the customer's language to switch the widget. Displays the current method.

  • Change method — opens a modal to change the method.

Options:

  • Shop locale — uses Shopify's location & language settings.
  • IP address — detect via IP and switch language.
  • URL — detect from URL path (e.g., /fr/, /de/).
  • Browser language — detect the browser language and switch.

Warning: ETA checkout always uses Shopify's Shop locale and doesn't follow this method.
