Auto-compile Store Policies to PDF for Dispute Evidence

Synctrack can turn your store's policies (Refund/Return, Terms of Service, Shipping…) into PDFs and attach them as evidence when you respond to a Stripe or PayPal dispute — pulled automatically from your Shopify store, so you never copy-paste policy text or rely on a link. Available on Pro, Premium, and Unlimited plans.

Set it up

  1. In Shopify, go to Settings → Policies and make sure your policies are filled in. If you don't set your policies up in Shopify, you'll need to add them by hand in Settings → Dispute settings → Store information in Synctrack instead.

  1. After this update, log in to Synctrack and re-authorize the app when Shopify asks. This happens once at login and lets Synctrack read your store policies — there's no extra button to click afterward.

  1. Open Settings → Dispute settings → Store information. Your store name, email, URL, and address are auto-filled from Shopify.
  2. Turn on Auto-compile store policies to PDF for dispute evidence.

Attach policy PDFs to a dispute

  1. Open the evidence form for a dispute. Synctrack generates a PDF for each policy and pre-selects Refund/Return, Terms of Service, and Shipping.
  2. Tick or untick the policies you want to include.
  3. Submit. For Stripe, PDFs go into the native evidence fields (one submission only). For PayPal, they attach in the Other tab of Provide Evidence.

Good to know

  • Auto-compiled PDFs are a paid-plan feature (Pro/Premium/Unlimited). On Free/Basic you can still paste a policy URL manually.
  • No store policies in Shopify yet? Paste a policy URL and Synctrack builds the PDF from that page.
  • If your store uses a bot/AI-blocking service, Synctrack may not be able to generate a PDF from a pasted URL (the page can't be read). Setting your policies up in Shopify Settings → Policies avoids this — Synctrack reads them directly and can still convert them to PDF.
  • File size limits apply per gateway — PayPal allows 10MB per file and 50MB total; Stripe follows its Files API limit. If a file is too large, Synctrack warns you so you can drop it instead of silently skipping it.
  • Only Shopify's standard policies (plus a pasted URL) are supported for now; free-form policy Pages are not included yet.
  • Attaching policy PDFs makes your evidence more complete, but it does not guarantee the dispute outcome.
