Automate disputes & sync alerts with Synctrack's Shopify Flow templates
Synctrack PayPal ships three ready-made Shopify Flow templates so you can react automatically to PayPal/Stripe disputes and tracking-sync failures — no code, and no workflow to build from scratch. Once Synctrack is installed, the templates appear in the Shopify Flow template browser and work on every plan, including Free.
How to use it
- From your Shopify admin, open the Shopify Flow app and go to Templates. (If you don't have Shopify Flow yet, install it free from the Shopify App Store — it requires a Shopify Basic plan or higher.)

- Search Synctrack or choose app (Synctrack Paypal Tracking), choose a template, then click Install to copy it into a new workflow.

- Open each Send internal email action and enter your team's email address. It's empty by default, so alerts won't reach anyone until you fill it in.

- Open the Condition step and adjust it to match your store - see Adjust the conditions below.
- Click Turn on workflow.
The three templates
- Tag order and alert team when a PayPal or Stripe dispute is opened — triggers on a new PayPal/Stripe dispute. It tags the customer and order and emails your team, with one branch for an early-stage inquiry (
had-dispute-inquiry) and one for a chargeback (had-dispute-chargeback).

- Tag customer and notify team when a repeat buyer opens a dispute — triggers on a new dispute from a buyer who has disputed before, tagging them
repeat-disputerand emailing your team a warning.

- Notify team via email when PayPal or Stripe tracking sync fails — a shop-level digest (at most one email every 3 days) that emails you when tracking-sync failures build up.

Adjust the conditions
Each template ships with its condition preset to a specific value. A copied template is yours to edit, so change these to match your store before turning the workflow on.
- Repeat buyer template — the condition reads
Prior dispute count is equal to 2. Change the operator to is greater than or equal to so it also catches buyers with 3 or more prior disputes. - Tracking sync template — the condition reads
Sync failed count is equal to 10. Change the operator to is greater than or equal to, and set the number to your own threshold. - Tracking sync template — the condition also reads
Gateway is equal to PayPal & Stripe, which only matches stores using both gateways. If you use only PayPal or only Stripe, delete this condition line, otherwise the workflow won't run.
Good to know
- No enable step inside Synctrack — templates are available automatically once the app is installed.
- Works on all Synctrack plans, including Free (Shopify Flow itself needs a Shopify Basic plan or higher).
- The tracking-sync template sends one shop-level digest every 3 days, not one email per order.
- Alert emails link back to the dispute or order inside Synctrack so you can act in one click.
- This release provides templates using Shopify's built-in actions. Synctrack-specific actions (Sync now, Submit evidence, Contact buyer) are coming in a later release.
