Submit Additional Evidence on a PayPal Dispute

Already responded to a PayPal dispute and then found something that strengthens your case — a delivery confirmation, a customer email, a replacement shipment receipt? If the case has escalated to a chargeback and is still under review, you can send that evidence to PayPal straight from Synctrack.

When you can use it

Submit additional evidence appears in the Actions bar of a PayPal dispute only while PayPal still accepts more evidence for that case:

  • The dispute Stage is CHARGEBACK, PRE_ARBITRATION, or ARBITRATION, and
  • The dispute Status is Under review — meaning you have already submitted your evidence.

This window is short, usually around 4–5 days. Once the status changes, the action is no longer available, so send anything extra as soon as you have it.

Turn it on for your store

The first time you click Submit additional evidence, a chat opens with a message already written for you:

Hi! I'd like to enable Submit additional evidence for my store

  1. Send that message to our support team.
  2. We enable the feature for your store.
  3. Reload the page & Click Submit additional evidence again — the submission form now opens.

You only need to do this once. Once your store is enabled, the action stays available on every future dispute that qualifies — you will not be sent back to chat again.

Send your evidence

  1. Open the dispute from the Dispute tab and click Submit additional evidence.
  2. In Note to PayPal, explain what the evidence shows. This is required — PayPal will not accept the submission without a note.
  3. Under Attachments, click Choose file and add your supporting documents.
  4. Click Continue to send everything to PayPal.

Good to know

  • Attachments accept JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, and PDF — a maximum of 5 files, up to 10 MB each and 50 MB in total.
  • This is a follow-up submission. It does not replace Provide evidence, which is how you respond to a dispute for the first time.
  • There is no auto-fill here — you write the note yourself.
  • Submitting more evidence does not extend PayPal's response deadline.
  • This is a PayPal capability. Stripe and Shopify Payments do not offer an additional-evidence submission on a dispute, so the action does not appear on those cases.
