Add/Edit rule

Add / Edit Rule

This page explains how to create a new watermark rule or edit an existing one. The configuration options are the same for both adding and editing rules.

Rule Status

When a new rule is created, its default status is Deactivated.

You can only change the rule status (Activate or Deactivate) after the rule has been saved. This ensures that the rule configuration is complete before it is applied to product images.

Rule Configuration

When adding a new rule or editing an existing one, you can configure the following settings:

Rule Name

Set a name for the rule to help you easily identify its purpose.

Clear and descriptive rule names are recommended, especially when managing multiple rules.

Apply To Products

Select which products the rule should apply to. Available options include:

  • All products
  • Specific products
  • Specific collections

This setting defines the scope of the rule and determines which product images will be affected.

Watermark Types

Select one or more watermark types to apply to the selected products.

Available watermark types include:

  • Logos
  • Texts
  • Stickers
  • On Sale
  • New Arrivals
  • Out of Stock
  • Background Image

Each watermark type has its own dedicated configuration options. In this documentation, each type links to a separate detailed guide explaining how to configure and customize it.

Remove Product Image Background

This optional setting allows you to remove the entire background from product images.

When enabled, the app will automatically detect and remove the background of all images belonging to the selected products before applying watermarks. This is useful for creating cleaner visuals or preparing images for specific design styles.

Preview

The Preview section allows you to see how the watermark rule will appear on a product image before saving or activating the rule.

By default, the app displays a sample preview image. You can also select a specific product from your store to preview how the rule will be applied to that product’s image.

This helps you:

  • Verify watermark position and appearance
  • Check multiple watermark types together
  • Adjust settings before applying the rule to live products

Saving the Rule

After completing all required configurations, save the rule to make it available in the Rules Management page.

Once saved, you can activate or deactivate the rule at any time based on your needs.
