Deposit payment
The deposit feature lets you collect partial payment up front, with the remaining balance collected when the customer receives the service or items.
Step 1 — Open the Payment tab
In the service you want to configure → Payment tab → toggle Deposit Payment on.

Step 2 — Choose Deposit type

Type | Description |
|---|---|
Percent | A percentage of the total (e.g., 30% of total) |
Fix amount | A fixed amount (e.g., $50) |
How to configure
- Under Type, choose Percent or Fix amount.
- Enter the value (e.g.,
30for 30%, or50for $50).
Step 3 — Automatically charge the remaining balance
This feature lets Booknatic automatically charge the customer's remaining balance from their saved payment method a set number of days after the booking starts — so you don't have to chase payments manually.
For example, if you set it to 7 days, when a customer pays the deposit on March 13, Booknatic automatically charges the remaining balance on March 20 (7 days after the deposit payment).
Step 4 — Enable full payment
Toggle Enable full payment amount on if you want to give customers a choice:
- Pay the deposit (configured above).
- Pay the full amount up front.
Toggle off if you only want customers to pay according to the deposit configuration.
