Compliance health check

Overview

Compliance health is a panel on your Home dashboard that checks whether your store's withdrawal configuration meets the EU withdrawal requirements (EU Directive (EU) 2023/2673 and §356a BGB). It runs five automated checks and shows an overall badge, a summary of how many checks are passing, and a status banner.

What you'll learn

How to use the panel

Step 1: Open Home — the Compliance health panel is near the top.
Step 2: Review the badge and the five checks. Anything marked Needs attention is a configuration gap.
Step 3: Click a check to expand its description and the reason it isn't passing.
Step 4: Click Fix to jump straight to the exact setting, correct it, and save. The panel re-evaluates automatically.

The five compliance checks

1. Withdrawal entry point enabled
Passes when at least one storefront surface — the floating button, a menu link, or the theme app embed — exposes the form. To fix, set up your storefront entry point. See Add the Withdrawal Form & Button to Your Storefront and Configure the Storefront Widget Button.

2. Sender details configured
Passes when your acknowledgment email has a working sender — the default [email protected], or a fully configured Amazon SES, Google, or SMTP sender of your own. To fix, complete the sender email settings. See Set Up Withdrawal Email Notifications.

3. Acknowledgment email enabled
The Withdrawal acknowledgment email is the durable-medium confirmation EU law requires, so it stays Always on. To fix, check your notification email settings. See Set Up Withdrawal Email Notifications.

4. Withdrawal window valid
Passes when an anchor event (order placed, fulfilled, or delivered) is set and the withdrawal period is at least 14 days — the EU minimum. To fix, review your withdrawal window. See Configure Your Withdrawal Rules.

5. Form published & default language set
Passes when a default language is set and the form is live so its URL resolves. To fix, set a default language on the Form Design & Floating button tab and make sure the form is published. See Configure the Storefront Widget Button and Add the Withdrawal Form & Button to Your Storefront.

Who can use this feature?

The Compliance health panel is part of the Home dashboard and is available to all stores using the app.

FAQs

  1. Where do I find the Compliance health panel?

On the Home dashboard, near the top.

  1. What does "Needs attention" mean?

That check has found a configuration gap. Click the check to see why, then click Fix to jump to the setting.

  1. Do I have to refresh after fixing something?

No. The panel re-evaluates automatically once you correct and save the setting.

  1. Why must the withdrawal window be at least 14 days?

14 days is the EU legal minimum for the right of withdrawal, so any shorter period is flagged.
