Import locations in bulk

Import locations in bulk

Have many stores? Upload them all at once with a CSV file instead of adding each location by hand.

Importing is capped by your plan's location limit — see Location limits by plan (Locations).

Overview

Bulk import is the fastest way to set up a multi-store account. You download a template, fill in your locations, and upload it — DingDoong creates them all in one step.

Import only adds locations; it doesn't change orders or existing locations.

Before you start

  • You have room within your plan's location limit for the locations you're importing.
  • Your location addresses are ready (name, address, city, postal code, country).

How to import locations

Here's how, step by step:

Step 1: Open the import dialog

Go to Fulfillment schedule → Locations and click Import locations.

Step 2: Download the template

Click Download template and fill in one row per location, following the column format exactly.

Step 3: Upload your file

Drag your completed CSV into the upload area (or click to browse), then submit.

Step 4: Review the result

DingDoong confirms how many locations were created. Open the Locations table to verify and fine-tune each one's methods and schedule.

Common scenarios

Onboarding a franchise / chain

Export your store list into the template format and import in one go.

Adding a batch of new branches

Import just the new rows — existing locations stay untouched.

Tips & Best practices

Always start from the downloaded template — custom columns or reordered headers are the most common cause of import failures.

After importing, set methods (pickup/delivery) and schedules per location — import creates the records, you configure the rules.

Troubleshooting

The import failed?

Re-download the template and check your columns match exactly. Remove empty rows and special characters, then try again.

The "Import locations" button is disabled?

You're at your plan's location limit — upgrade or remove unused locations first.

Couldn't download the template?

Retry; if it persists, check your browser's download settings or contact support.

FAQ

Does import overwrite existing locations?

No — it adds new ones. To edit existing locations, open them individually.

How do I undo a bulk import?

Delete the imported locations from the Locations table. Existing orders are unaffected.
