Manage your locations: add, edit, and delete

Locations are the stores, warehouses, or kitchens you fulfill orders from. Set them up once and DingDoong uses them across pickup and local delivery.

The number of locations you can add depends on your plan — see Location limits by plan (Locations).

Overview

Every pickup point and delivery origin in DingDoong is a location. You can run a single store or many; each location carries its own address, fulfillment methods, and schedule. This article covers creating, editing, and removing locations. To set up multiple stores at once, see Import locations in bulk

Editing or removing a location does not change orders already placed — it only affects future scheduling.

Before you start

  • DingDoong is installed with the app embed active.
  • You know each location's address and which methods it offers (pickup and/or local delivery).

How to manage locations

Here's how, step by step:

Step 1: Open the Locations page

In the DingDoong admin, go to Fulfillment schedule → Locations. You'll see all your locations, with a view filter for All / Pickup / Delivery.

Step 2: Add a location

Click Add location, fill in the address details, and choose which methods this location offers (turn on Pickup and/or Delivery).

Step 3: Edit a location

Click any location in the table to open it, update its details or per-location settings, and save.

Step 4: Delete a location

From the location's row or detail view, choose delete and confirm. The location is removed from future scheduling.

How it looks on the storefront

When more than one location offers pickup, customers choose their preferred location in the widget before picking a date and time.

Common scenarios

Single store

Keep one location with pickup and/or delivery enabled — no location selector shows to customers.

Multiple stores / warehouses

Add a location per site; configure each one's methods and schedule independently. See Set up pickup & delivery per location.

Seasonal or pop-up location

Add it when needed and delete it afterward — existing orders are unaffected.

Tips & Best practices

Name locations clearly (e.g., "Downtown — pickup", "Westside warehouse") so both your team and customers recognize them instantly.

Adding many stores? Use Import locations in bulkinstead of adding them one by one.

Troubleshooting

The "Add location" button is disabled?

You've reached your plan's location limit. See Location limits by plan to upgrade or free up a slot.

A location isn't showing on the storefront?

Confirm the location has at least one method (pickup/delivery) enabled and an active schedule.

FAQ

How do I undo deleting a location?

Deletion is permanent — you'll need to re-add it. Existing orders are not affected, so re-adding is safe.

Does each location need its own schedule?

Yes — each location can have its own days, time slots, and prep time. See Set up pickup & delivery per location.
