EU GDPR Cookies - How it works
How does cookies lifetime work
Basically, it means how long will the cookie consent still remain valid and after which they will expire =consent needs to be given again=pops up the cookie bar again. Now it's set to 60 days by default in our app but + - buttons are available"Few readersWhat to do with scanned cookies, do we need to classify, publish/unpublish them
By default, Shopify's store will save a wide range of cookies to visitors' browsers (it's Shopify, not our app that saves the cookie). Our app scans the list of cookies that the store is sending/saving to their visitors' browsers and collects them into our app. Customers can later choose what to publish/unpublish to inform their visitors about the cookies, under the preferences. The only type of cookie we save to visitors' browser is about the time of ""accept"" or status of ""dismiss""Few readersWhat happens when visitors hit the “DISMISS” button
Our app is for notification and getting consent only, and we cannot interfere with how Shopify saves cookies to browsers. So even if visitors hit Dismiss, Shopify stores would still save cookies, which is against their consent. Thus, merchant should get Got it consent as many and as soon as possibleFew readersWill the app affect tracking tag/pixel data
No. It won't affect how pixel data work as the setups are separated. App's function is only to show the cookie notification and scan the cookies to inform visitors of what cookies are saved to their browserFew readers
