Email & notifications overview
DingDoong can email customers and staff at key moments — confirmation, ready for pickup, out for delivery, reschedules, and missing-date recovery. This is your map of all of them.
Overview
All DingDoong emails are managed in General settings → Email notifications. Before any of them send, you must verify your sender email address once. Then enable and customize the emails you want.
Before you start
- Open General settings → Email notifications.
- Have access to your sender email inbox to confirm verification.
Step 0 — Verify your sender email (required once)

Tips & Best practices
Troubleshooting
No emails are sending?
Your sender email is probably not verified. Complete Step 0.
A status email didn't fire?
It's driven by the DingDoong status in the Order report, not Shopify — set the matching status.
FAQ
Do these replace Shopify's emails?
No — they're additional, DingDoong-specific notifications.
How do I turn an email off?
Toggle it off in General settings → Email notifications; its template is kept.
